Why the prices are below retail

Retailer+ members save 35% on every item; non-members pay standard retail. Membership is an optional paid plan with a 14-day free trial you can cancel any time. The discounts are genuine below-RRP deals on stock we've sourced well — there is no catch, and nothing is a counterfeit sold cheap.

How we verify what we sell

We're a verified secondary-market reseller. We don't manufacture and we're not an authorised distributor. We source through a curated network of trusted sellers and verified collector marketplaces, then check every item ourselves. If an item doesn't pass, we don't list it.

Sealed Pokémon TCG — the four checks

1. Factory seal. We inspect for original manufacturer shrink wrap and the tells of a reseal: tape on the base, generic clear shrink, misaligned seams.
2. Barcode and print. Matched against the official product database for that set and release date, which catches both reprints sold as first prints and counterfeit print runs.
3. Packaging integrity. Box edges, wrap branding (genuine modern boxes print logos directly onto the plastic) and pack alignment through windowed products, all against reference samples.
4. Variant and language. Pokémon Center exclusives are labelled separately from general retail SKUs, and language is confirmed and labelled — EN, JP, KR — so there's no relabelled-import confusion.

If you receive an item you believe is not authentic, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We refund you in full, investigate, and share the inspection notes from our verification process so you can see exactly what was checked.

Email support@theretailer.com.au and we'll send detailed photos of the factory seal, barcode and outer condition of a specific item. We do this routinely for sealed product over $500.
