The Balenciaga × Gap Collab Everyone Forgot — Now $5
Designed by Demna at the height of his Balenciaga era — the fit, the weight and the cut of a designer tee, with no logo and no markup. It sold out, the collab died, the world moved on. Now it's $5. Maybe the best deal in fashion.
In 2020, Gap signed a ten-year deal with the most-hyped names in fashion — and watched its stock jump as much as 40% in a single day. When Demna's Balenciaga came aboard in 2022, the basics were re-engineered from the inside out.
The post that kicked off the collaboration — and sent Gap's stock up as much as 40% in a single day.
That's the part that matters. The dropped shoulder, the boxed fit, the heavyweight double-layer hand — this is the cut Demna built at the height of his Balenciaga run, and the wash tag says Balenciaga to prove it. A plain Balenciaga tee runs $300–$500. The only difference here is the size tag: it says Yeezy, not Balenciaga. That's the whole reason it's $5.
By September 2022 the partnership was dead: terminated barely two years in, written off, never remade. The hype moved on. Hundreds of thousands of these were made — and most of the world forgot they existed.
That's the opening. Balenciaga-grade blanks — the perfect heavyweight everyday tee — for the price of a coffee. We don't think there's a better deal in fashion right now.
These retailed at $120 when they dropped, and tens of thousands sold at that price — Balenciaga-engineered, with the cut and quality of tees that sell for $300–$500. The collaboration was discontinued in 2022. Compare it on StockX or GOAT, then decide whether $5 makes sense.
Balenciaga's cut, Balenciaga's quality — no logo, no markup. At $5, maybe the best deal in fashion.
